We had a really cosy and welcoming experience during our Christmas getaway. the open plan layout of the cottage with a log burner was perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were super comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the bathroom was spotless and the shower was hot and powerful, which was a great way to start the day. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome basket and the thoughtful addition of milk and orange juice in the fridge. the location was peaceful and quiet, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our time away.
the directions to the property could have been more specific, especially as the road was quite long and we struggled to find it in the dark. Lastly, the heaters upstairs were a bit tricky to work and the rooms felt a little chilly at times.

I absolutely loved the decoration at Howgill House Barn. The cozy and warm atmosphere made me feel right at home. The open plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge were so inviting, especially with the lovely log burner. It was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. The accessibility of the hotel was great for senior people like me, with everything conveniently located on the ground floor. It made it easy for me to move around without any trouble.
The only thing I would have asked for to make my vacation even better is if the children working there had provided more assistance with the heaters upstairs. It was a bit chilly in the rooms and I had some difficulty getting them to work properly.

The decor at Howgill House Barn was absolutely splendid! The cozy furnishings and warm ambiance made me feel right at home. The open plan layout of the kitchen, dining area, and lounge was perfect for someone like me with a bit of trouble getting around. I could easily navigate the space and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It was also great to see that the accommodation had a lovely patio, providing a space to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.
If I had one small request for a better vacation for seniors, it would be to have more assistance from the children working there. While the owners were very helpful, it would be wonderful to have someone always available to help with any queries or additional needs.
